DAY 1: TEL AVIV / TIBERIAS
Meeting and assistance at Ben Gurion airport. Transfer to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2: NAZARETH / HAIFA
AM: Drive to Cana to visit the place of Jesus’ first public miracle; changing water into wine. On to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of Annunciation, the excavations under the Basilica, the Franciscan Museum and St. Joseph’s workshop. Continue then with the Souk, the Synagogue, Mary’s Well and St. Gabriel’s Church.
PM: Drive toHaifa and ascendMt.Carmel. Visit Stella Maris Convent with Prophet Elija’s Grotto. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tiberias.
DAY 3: TIBERIAS / MT. TABOR
AM: Start the day with a boat ride across the Sea of Galillee to Capernaum to see St. Peter’s Memorial, St. Peter’s House and the VI century Synagogue. On to Mt. Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his most famous address; the Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Tabgha, the site of multiplication of fish and loaves.
PM: Visit the Baptismal place on theJordan River. Continue drive toMt.Tabor and visit thechurch ofTransfiguration. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tiberias.
DAY 4: JERICHO / QUMRAN / DEAD SEA/ JERUSALEM
Drive along the Jordan Valley to Jericho. Visit the ancient city, Elisha’s Spring, the Sycamore Tree, New City and view of Mt. Temptation. Further to Qumran and visit the excavations of the Essean Monastery and the Cave of the Scrolls. PM: Drive via the Old Roman road to Jerusalem. En route visit the Sanctuary of Bethany. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem.
DAY 5: EIN KAREM / BETHLEHEM
AM: Drive to Ein Karem to visit the Church of Visitation and Church of St John the Baptist. Continue drive to Shepherds Field.
PM:Bethlehem: Visit the Basilica of Nativity: Chapel ofSt. Jerome’ and the Crusader Cluster. Dinner and overnight at your hotel inJerusalem.
DAY 6: JERUSALEM
AM: Visit Mount of Olives: Ascension Place, Church of Paternoster, Dominus Flevit, Virgin’s Tomb, Grotto of Jesus’ Arrest, Garden and Church of Gethsemane.
PM: MountZion to include: St. Peter in Gallicantu, the Cenacle and Dormition Abbey. Dinner and overnight at hotel inJerusalem.
DAY 7: JERUSALEM
AM: Start the day with a walking tour of the Old City. Visit the Temple area: see the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, Al Aksa Mosque, St. Anne Church and the Pool of Bethesda.
PM: Trace the final footsteps of Jesus as you walk the Via Dolorosa. See theChurch ofFlagellation, Ecce Homo Arch,Church ofResurrection (Calvary and Holy Sepulchre). Dinner and overnight at your hotel inJerusalem.
DAY 8: JERUSALEM/ AIRPORT
